Do I pay a placement fee?
No. We charge no placement fee. You only pay for your own documents and flight — directly to the relevant institutions, never to us.
How much will I really earn?
A competitive European salary from R48,000 net/month (~€2,400), rising up to R60,000 net (~€3,000) after the first two months, depending on company, country and routes. Overtime is paid per EU rules.
How is the salary really paid?
Monthly, on time, directly to your bank account, with a transparent monthly breakdown.
What exactly do I pay for?
Only your own documents (IDP, police clearance + apostille, etc.), your flight, and accommodation between trips (about R300/night, ~€15) — paid directly to the relevant institutions, not to us.
Do I need Code 95?
Not necessarily before applying. Code 95 (Driver CPC) is the EU professional qualification; many drivers obtain it as part of the process. Ask us and we'll explain your specific case.
Can Zimbabwean citizens apply?
Yes. Since October 2025 VFS Global also operates in Zimbabwe, so Zimbabwean citizens can apply for the national D work visa in their own country. Documents are handled in Zimbabwe: police clearance from the ZRP CID, and the apostille from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade in Harare.
How long does the whole process take?
Usually about 2–3 months from application to arrival, depending on visa processing (via VFS Global) and how quickly you gather your documents.
Do I have to live in Johannesburg to apply?
No. The whole process — application, driving test, document submission and departure preparation — can be done remotely, from anywhere in South Africa.
What if I don't have 1 year of driving experience?
Europe requires real truck-driving experience, and the process includes a practical driving test, so only genuine skills count. It's best to apply when you're confident you meet the 1-year minimum.
Which countries can I work in?
It depends on the current openings — usually across the EU, matched to your experience, licence and driving history. We help you find the best fit.
Is this legal and safe?
Yes. Everything is done legally and with documents — a real EU contract, a verified employer, and the official VFS Global pathway. No shortcuts.
Why do I have to cover the initial costs myself?
Because these are your own personal documents, not a fee for employment. This model is used worldwide so that both sides commit seriously. For drivers, the investment pays off within the first month of work.
Why did I not receive a response after applying?
We review every application individually. If we have not contacted you yet, a decision may still be pending, or we may not currently have an offer that matches your profile. When a suitable opportunity appears, we will contact you directly.
What if I want to speed up the process?
If you have not heard from us within 5 business days but you are confident you meet the requirements and are ready, contact us directly and ask about the status of your application.
Who will help me if I run into difficulties?
You will not be left alone. Both we and the employer commit to ongoing support. During working hours you can reach us any time — with questions, difficulties, or help settling in.
Will I be able to bring my family?
Yes. Once you start working in Europe, you can plan for your family to join you. We discuss all options and timelines individually once you are already working in Europe.
